Bramble Place is located opposite the iconic Sandgate Town Hall in an historical old building originally built as a branch of the National Bank of Queensland, opened in June 1924.
The bank remained until 1938, the building has since been utilised for an array of businesses. In 1950’s Fossy’s Real Estate agency was in the building, selling homes in the slowly growing Sandgate and Shorncliffe community. There was also a convenience, dentist, hair dresser and financial adviser in more recent times.
The building was named 'Bramble Place' in the 1980's with the sign placed on the front of the building at the same time. The name 'Bramble' comes from Bramble Bay, and the bay name originating from the name of a survey ship.
In October 2014 Bramble Place Tea and Coffee was established and in June 2018 Chris and Tracey took over the business changing the name back to the original Bramble Place.
